Hybrid video memes are working really well on Facebook.
Even better, from my point of view is that they are fun to create,
as they challenge my creativity, and often allow for a real sense of play.

That’s really good considering it ran on our smallish fan page
of about 25k clients of ours at PetGiftBox.com.
We didn’t spend a penny on promotion, didn’t need to, as it took off right away,
as you can guess it would, with over 188,000 shares.
The thing about social media is that we can never be sure what will take off and go viral.
Anybody who claims to know the secret is almost certainly trying to sell you something.
Make Lots Of Small Bets With Your Content
In my experience, the best way to have something “go viral” like the video above,
is to make lots of small “bets.” In other words, produce lots of interesting things,
pay attention to what your audience likes and (especially) shares.
You will gain experience and intuitions as to what your audience likes and shares,
and sooner or later, one of your “small bets” will take off.
